Working with dogs for over 30 years she has the ability, expertise, understand and the knowledge in training a future Service Dog for any and all work  they may be needed for. She has found that bringing independance to an individual through the use of a fully trained Service Dog to be a personal mission and a life long passion.

Lija is our Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder. Working in the customer service industry for 15 years, she came to realize that through that work, she had more to offer than just the simple things. In 2004 after a reaction to a medication, she discovered that a Medical Alert Service Dog would be able to bring her comfort and help in any future time of need. In 2007 she founded What would become Colorado Service Dogs, Inc.. After meeting Sharon Davis and discovering what similar dreams they had together they created the organization as it is known today. Dog trainer since 2008.
